Prepare the work surface:
- Concrete surface must be clean, free from impurities, grease, chemicals, ensuring solidity.
- Metal surface must be rust-free, free from grease
- Mold lubricants and curing agents need to be cleaned by mechanical methods or by high pressure water spraying.
- Moisten (saturate) the surface with clean water before grouting.
- Installation of formwork, formwork can be made of wood, steel or other materials on a case-by-case basis, but must be rigid, sealed and held firmly to prevent warping under the pressure of the grout until the grout hardens.
- Before installation, mold lubricant should be applied to the inside of the formwork for easy removal.
- Make a chute to pour grout, at least 200mm in height.
Mixing:
- Put clean water into the mixing container first, slowly add the grout powder after while the mixer is running. Mix well until a smooth, homogeneous, liquid grout is obtained, mixing time at least 3 minutes.
- Mixing water ratio is 15% by weight of grout.
Grouting:
- The minimum application temperature is 100C and the maximum is 400C.
- Minimum thickness of grout layer is 8mm.
- Apply grout immediately after thoroughly mixing, maintaining pressure to keep the flow uninterrupted without interruption.
- Apply pouring grout as quickly as possible (dump out within 20 minutes of mixing), pouring continuously until finished.
- When grouting into structures, it is necessary to water to clean and saturate the surface & drain before application.
- Curing exposed grout surface as soon as the grout is dry by covering with wet burlap, or spraying with specialized curing solutions.
